To Secure The Blessings To Ourselves
Remember this line from the preamble to our U.S. Constitution:
". . .[T]o secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, [we] do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
We’re removing safeguards for future security and protection as a nation under God when we ignore the guarantees proclaimed as to what type of country we pledged to be. We place unwarrantable jurisdiction over pre-born human beings inside their mother's womb, to kill them for arbitrary reasons, simply because they are unwanted. When we deny the right to life, which is “inalienable” and “endowed by the Creator,” we’re removing safeguards and protection under God.
We first removed those safeguards of Liberty for 87 years (1776-1883). God's patience ran thin and 600,000 died "by the sword," more commonly known as the U.S. Civil War, where our countrymen killed one another.
New York made abortion legal in 1970. Three years later, Roe was victorious. When Planned Parenthood v. Casey was ruled, aborting babies became legal for all nine months of pregnancy—even in partial birth. In Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (2022), the US Supreme Court revisited Roe & Casey and determined that there wasn’t in the Constitution a right to abort pre-born babies. Yet, they allowed for each state to decide how to govern it.
The Supreme Court of Florida has allowed Amendment #4 on the ballot in November. If more than 60% of the electorate vote “Yes,” all abortions become legal. It will also become installed into the Florida Constitution. Though short in words, Amendment #4 is instilled with deceptive language. Upon close examination, it affords no protection for innocent babies in the womb up until birth.
Abortion equals one dead and one wounded. If this cruel and dangerous amendment passes and Florida becomes a state where pre-born children come to die, the inevitability of much tangential hurt is sure to spread across this country. Other states may follow in the same ominous direction.

Mr. Sunshine…
Is it painful to be so right so much of the time?
How can you handle being associated as a 'journalist' in the same breath as the likes of Ray, Larry and Russ? Do you cringe when they are called journalists?

Editor Note: ‘Painful?’ Only because I haven’t reached 100% yet. As stated in a previous editorial response, “We aim for truth. We settle for accuracy.”
As for the other guys, they do what they do. I don’t cringe. I’m just trying to walk in the rich heritage of American journalism founded by the likes of Ben Franklin and raised to its highest level in the fearless pursuits and writings of Frederick Douglass.
Sincerely,
“Mr. Sunshine.”
